Responsibilities & Expectations:
Integrated Power Services is seeking a Regional Sourcing Specialist to manage the procurement of goods and services across the Central Region by coordinating with production, management, and sales personnel, capturing and transferring all request needs using various reports swiftly and cost-effectively, and multitasking to handle all purchase requests both internally and externally. Responsibilities include:
- Working with the Regional Supply Chain Team this position will ensure that the established approved suppliers are utilized for required products and services
- Establishing and rewiewing re-order and/or min/max levels for inventoried items
- Placing orders for items that have reached reorder or min level
- Review requisitions for goods and services and placed required purchase orders
- Maintain all relevant documents, both internal and external, for every purchase order such as service center requisitions, quotes/estimates, order acknowledgement and confirmations
- Follow up on existing open purchase orders to ensure expected receipt date is accurate and communicate any discrepancies as soon as possible to service center management
- Maintain a professional attitude when representing the company during phone or personal contact with outside vendors, customers, service providers, and internal departments, etc.
- Ability to gather internal requisition in all forms
- Resolve or assist all pricing and/or ordering discrepancies relative to purchased materials, incoming shipments, etc.
- Use the most cost-effective delivery method that ensures on time delivery
- Follow company procurement procedures and participate in CIPS activities
- Adhere to all company policies
- Travel inside the assigned region for periodic meetings
- Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (especially eye, ear protection and steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, etc)
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Report all injuries, near misses and accidents immediately to a supervisor
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; plus two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer proficiency with all Microsoft products
- Must be able to analyze and problem-solve issues
- Good communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gains clarification; responds thoughtfully to questions; participates in meetings with stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
