Responsibilities & Expectations:
As an Inside Sales Representative for IPS, you will serve as the primary contact for our customers for their industrial electrical experience—from quote through delivery for their incoming equipment and service needs right down to the motor or pump.
- Communicate with customers and assist with deciding on electrical product or service requirements.
- Research and communicate with IPS vendors on parts and part delivery.
- Responsible to prepare designs, quotes and support to the customer.
- Work with Outside Technical Sales reps to address their customer’s needs.
- Ensure proper procedures and standards are in place to conform to CSA, ISO, EASA, and IPS Standard of Work (SOW) requirements.
- Assist in achieving financial targets set out by the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Responsible for preparation of quotes, purchasing product, invoicing and unmatched customer experience (UCE).
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Technical background with electrical and/or mechanical products required
- 2 or more years of sales experience in an industrial environment or equivalent education preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with current and potential customers
- Critical attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to understand, perform and retain various job-related training
- Flexible with hours, overtime, and some weekend work

Primary product lines include Motors and Adjustable Speed Drives (ASDs), Solid State Starters and Electric Motor Control. You are quick, motivated, an excellent communicator, computer-literate, take initiative to continually learn, well-organized & sales oriented. CET or C.Tech and CTTAM membership is an asset.
