Responsibilities & Expectations: 

The workshop technician carries out various tasks related to the repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of transformers and other medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment.

• Carry out tests on medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment: 

•    Technical assembly of power equipment;
•    Perform transformer tests according to established protocols;
•    Record test results on various computer forms.

• Carry out various tasks required to complete contracts: 

•    Prepare different mounting plates (drilling, component layout) with or without diagrams of how to arrange parts on the mounting plate;
•    Assemble components (relays, transformers, terminal blocks, etc.);
•    Control wiring on mounting plates according to electrical drawings;
•    Assist with maintenance of production equipment as needed.

• Perform all other tasks required for the smooth running of operations. 

Qualifications and Competencies: 

•    DEP electricity or DEC eletrical engineering;
•    1 to 3 years' experience in the electrical field (an asset);
•    Good understanding of electrical schematics;
•    Computer skills;
•    Knowledge of English (an asset).
•    Ability to communicate and work as part of a team;
•    Rigorous, patient and fast-paced.
