A day in the life…
Wondering what a day in the life of Revenue Cycle Representative at The Iowa Clinic might look like?
- Oversees processes and directs day-to-day work related to patient accounts.
- Resolve team member inquiries and escalate issues to managements as needed.
- Participates in hiring, orientation, training, scheduling and provides day-to-day operational supervision for assigned staff.
- Collaborates with Revenue Cycle Management Supervisor and other leadership in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Assist in identifying and resolving issues to assure high quality, efficient, and cost effective services consistent with the needs of the organization.
This job might be for you if…
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a medical office or billing environment with medical billing and collections required.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Working knowledge of medical terminology required.
Qualifications
- A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling career
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data including explanation of benefits from all payers.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
- Ability to read and write legibly and understand/follow written and verbal directions.
- Must be able to operate computer and have necessary keyboarding skills to function in assigned Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- A positive and team-oriented attitude
- Must possess organizational and self-motivational skills in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Proven sound judgement and ability to work within delegated authority.
