A day in the life…
Wondering what a day in the life of an Accounts Payable Specialist at The Iowa Clinic might look like?
- Participate in the accounts payable function including verification of accounts payable invoices, verification of sales tax and general ledger accounts
- Batch invoices to be paid and post entries to general ledger
- Maintains vendors including set up of new vendors, determine if 1099 eligible and prepare year end 1099’s
- Researches and resolves accounts payable discrepancies and outstanding invoices
- And other general accounting duties
This job might be for you if you have…
- Four plus years of Accounts Payable experience or other Accounting related duties
- A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling career
- Demonstrated proficiency in use of 10-key calculator, Microsoft Office products including Excel is required
- Detail oriented and comfortable working independently
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- A positive and team-oriented attitude
