A day in the life…
Wondering what a day in the life of a Practice Manager-Medical Imaging at The Iowa Clinic might look like?
- Demonstrates ability to consistently meet the clinic work schedule.
- In collaboration with the Director, assumes overall accountability for maintaining high-quality, cost-effective services within budgetary guidelines.
- Oversees daily administrative and operational activities of the clinic to include
a. Providing a supervisory presence across four locations.
b. Providing oversight to Leads in their modalities
c. Serve as technical expert or liaison to technical information for staff and physicians.
d. Demonstrate proficiency in the Five Star system, ensuring that patient issues are addressed in a timely manner and documented accordingly.
e. Work closely with Medical Imaging leadership team to ensure consistency across all locations.
f. Provide staff scheduling in a timely manner, including PTO requests and sick call.
g. Process timecards.
h. Guide Leads through ACR and ICANL accreditation and re-accreditation.
- Assists in the development of annual operating and capital budgets, authorizes expenditures and monitors performance. Takes corrective action when appropriate to maintain control of financial resources.
- Provides oversight for staff orientation and training, including the completion of the Clinical Competency checklist within the first 90 days of employment.
- Maintains awareness of applicable laws and/or regulations and remains current on changes.
- Recognizes implications of applicable laws and/or regulations to the clinic and implements or recommends courses of action to ensure compliance.
- Maintains awareness of own safety in carrying out duties and responsibilities. Adheres to universal precautions and infection control policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient and corporate/physician financial information. Uses discretion in patient interactions.
- Promotes a positive, professional image of the clinic The Iowa Clinic both internally and externally.
- Compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
- Actively serves on committees The Iowa Clinic as assigned.
- Regularly attends assigned meetings.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of Completion of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
Licensure/Certification: AART registered/eligible. Current State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology
Work Experience: 5 plus years applicable clinical experience in medical imaging and systems
environment. Supervisor experience required.
**Mammo and/or Ultrasound experience required**
