UPS/Battery Installation Technician

We are looking for a UPS Infrastructure Technician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical UPS infrastructure. Your job will involve installing Battery Backup / UPS systems, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts.
UPS Infrastructure Technician success factors include:
- Design on-site UPS Solutions
- Develop UPS power failover solutions
- Execute plans/Projects for UPS refresh
- Install UPS equipment and its options
- Prepare and assemble IT Rack mounting option
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing
- Perform effective troubleshooting, repair or substitute damaged units
Pay rate for this position is highly competitive and based on relevant work experience. Travel & Mileage is compensated as well.
Qualified candidates will have:
- 2+ years of experience as a UPS Technician or similar
- Knowledge of IT infrastructures. Even though you will not be directly services these items knowing what they are will be helpful. Cisco or other IT switch equipment, File servers, Phone systems and other IT components.
- Reliable transportation and an insured vehicle
- Valid Driver's license with good driving record
- Knowledge of Eaton and APC UPS’s a plus
