Job Summary
The Personal Lines Senior Account Manager plays a pivotal role in managing client relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service. Responsibilities include overseeing client service and communication at an advanced level, mentoring team of account managers and assistants, and managing complex insurance policy processes such as renewals, remarkets, invoicing, evidence of insurance, MVRs, and Clue Reports. They are responsible for strategic planning and execution to meet client needs effectively. Additionally, the Senior Account Manager may serve as a key liaison between clients, underwriters, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. With a focus on continuous improvement, they drive innovation and excellence in service delivery while serving as a subject matter expert to the team.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage your assigned book of business, including but not limited to maintaining accurate records in the agency management system, reviewing and binding renewals, remarketing with admitted and surplus carriers as necessary, quoting and binding additional lines of business as customer needs arise, increasing account retention, and identifying round-out opportunities.
- Work closely with individuals to make sure their assets and resources are protected through our innovative and comprehensive insurance products, including offering suggestions to eliminate coverage gaps.
- Provides leadership to account team, demonstrating a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to assist others at all times.
- Maintains a high degree of technical competence and industry/market expertise.
- Work effectively with our underwriters/carrier partners to proactively find creative solutions for customer needs.
- Monitor the expiration, past due renewal, and A/R reports for your book of business to ensure timely and accurate servicing.
- Create and distribute client invoicing for agency bill new business, renewals, and premium-bearing endorsement transactions, and collect outstanding balances due.
- Assist with facilitation of client claims processes as needed.
- Monitor performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and service standards are met, recommending corrective actions to operations management staff when appropriate.
- Maintain frequent and transparent communication with supervisor regarding any obstacles and issues affecting ability to meet performance expectations; seek, accept, and implement performance coaching.
- Will be required to stay current with continuing education credits to maintain active status level of insurance licensure.

- Work effectively with our commercial 1099 & W-2 sales personnel, seeking their input and direction to develop win-win solutions for mutual clients.
- Acts as back-up for teammates as needed, covering for others in their absence and ensuring overall team service excellence.
- Ensures professional skills are continuously improved by actively participating in internal/external development opportunities.
- Assists with new hire and ongoing training.
What We’re Looking For:
5-10 years of industry experience
All required state licensing needed.
Exceptional customer service skills
Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, delegation and decision-making skills
Outstanding verbal/written communication skills
Ability to perform large work volumes with high degrees of accuracy.
PC proficiency
Exceptional personal character
High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00
Salary Range variable based on experience.
