Job Summary 

Strategic coordination and execution of day-to-day administrative and customer service activities with Account Team. Focused on managing a book of business, increasing account retention, and new business support. Capable of resolving the most complex customer service problems. Responsible for directing day-to-day activities and workflow; team communication and support, training, and team development. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert. Always provides outstanding client service, including proactively anticipating client needs, maintaining frequent and professional client communication, and responding quickly to any service requests. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Spend 20% of the time as an Account Manager for an assigned book of business, and meets all performance expectations regarding production, quality, and services associated with that book.
  • Participate in team members' performance evaluation process.
    • Proactively recognize positive and negative team performance trends and provide frequent encouragement and praise, while communicating coaching or corrective action needs to the supervisor.
  • Monitor team performance to ensure productivity, efficiency, quality, and standards are met, recommending corrective actions to operations management staff when appropriate.
  • Participate in new employee selection process, including interviewing and making hiring recommendations.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and ongoing training support within the team.
  • Encourage continuous growth and professional development of all service operations personnel within the team.
    • Identify the next generation of branch operations leadership and communicate to Operations Manager to prepare candidates for succession in the Operations Team Leaders roles.
  • Work effectively with operations management, seeking input and developing win-win solutions to any operations-related process, service, quality, or personnel issues.
  • Maintain frequent and transparent communications regarding team performance and activities with branch operations management.
  • Ensure compliance with core work process throughout the branch, including identifying and adopting best practice.
  • Lead implementation and enforcement of all company work rules, standards, and policies and procedures in the team.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry/market expertise.
  • Ensure management/leadership skills are continuously improved by actively participating in internal/external professional development opportunities.
  • Direct day-to-day activities and workflow of assigned account management team members.
  • Manage team days off calendars to ensure service continuity.
  • Act as CSR and Account Coordinator subject matter expert for the assigned team; answering questions, providing support, and assisting with developing solutions to problems.
  • Ensure appropriate team staffing levels necessary to meet all operational and service goals, and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Act as a back-up for teammates as needed, covering for others in their absence and ensuring overall team service excellence.
  • Continually look for, recommend, and implement process improvements and best practice to improve individual, team, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Will be required to maintain Continuing Education credits to maintain an active status level of insurance licensure.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is expected, and a necessary component of the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.  

What We’re Looking For: 

      5+ years of insurance experience, 3+ years Supervisor/Management experience.

      College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required.

      All required active licensing – minimum of 20-44.

      Advanced customer service skills.

      Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, delegation and decision-making skills.

      Advanced verbal/written communication skills.

      Ability to perform substantial work volumes with high degrees of accuracy.

      PC proficiency, including basic knowledge of MS Office.

      Ability to read and interpret data for application in rational decision making.

      Exceptional personal character.
