Job Summary
This position is responsible for following policies and procedures established for the day-to-day Direct Bill accounting functions and task of Insurance Office of America. This will involve accurately recording commission received from insurance carriers and brokers. Commission Statements are hand-keyed, downloaded or imported in our data management system. Excellent communication with our internal operations team is required.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for recording commission received from insurance carriers and brokers.
- Ability to identify and assign items in suspense to balance statements.
- Import, save and format commission statements into suspense accounts.
- Key and track exception errors and send to appropriate department for correction.
- Research and resolve policies without transactions received from different departments.
- Compile and electronically archive supporting documentation.

- Regular and consistent attendance is expected and a necessary component to the job.
- Proven commitment to excellence in customer service
- Back-up for teammates as needed, covering for others in their absence and ensuring overall team service excellence.
- Ensures professional skills are continuously improved by actively participating in internal/external development opportunities.
- Lifting and carrying large equipment/boxes over 5 lbs.
- Bending and stooping to utilize necessary office equipment.
- Participation in team building and other activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Entry level – 3 years of previous accounting experience preferred.
- Excellent administrative, multi-tasking and organizational skills with the ability to pay strong attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and problem solve complex issues
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as 10 key calculator, copier and scanner
- High School diploma (or equivalent)
