Summary
The Financial Services Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, accurately processing customer transactions, and maintaining a safe and secure working environment. This position is the face of the company, and a friendly, professional attitude is essential in building customer relationships. The Financial Services Representative will have the opportunity to help customers with their financial needs and create lasting relationships with them. The person in this position must have an understanding of financial products and services, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, and be able to build trust with our customers.
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities
- Greet customers upon arrival and provide prompt, courteous service.
- Proactively call customers to prospect for new business
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers to provide financial services.
- Open new accounts, process deposits, withdrawals, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Balance cash drawer and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping.
- Execute transactions for customers according to their instructions.
- Answer customer inquiries to provide appropriate information and recommend financial products and services.
- Cross-sell bank products and services to customers.
- Maintain a clean and professional workstation.
- Adhere to all security procedures and regulations to minimize risk.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and policies.
- Monitor customer feedback and provide insights for product and process improvements.
- Ensures compliance with established Bank policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and related laws as they pertain to the Bank Secrecy Act in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Information Program.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in financial services or a related field.
- Knowledge of financial services regulations and procedures.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of banking software applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
