Description

The Senior Supplier Engineer acts as representative of InVue to drive supplier on-site manufacturing & quality process control to deliver highest level of quality and reliability of InVue products consistently.  
  
RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Supplier quality performance management:
    • Continuously drive supplier & quality (process and product) management improvement that minimize the cost of quality and improve effectiveness of execution. 
    • Ownership of supplier quality KPIs which has been set and determined by InVue Quality group.
    • Fully engage in NPD process by projects and drive overall execution consistency to accomplish quality deliverables.
    • Facilitate ECR change management and implementation from InVue to supplier & be responsible for final “sign-off” when implemented.
  • With regards to full engagement in NPD process and verifications, and drive improvement for deficiency and process/quality gaps before each phase exit.
    • Drive key milestone completions and deliverables from both supplier end and InVue Engineering/PMs.  Also responsible for management of issues assigned to supplier & supplier issues assigned to InVue.  Making full use of available NPD checklist to drive execution consistency, and drive improvement in the process of execution.
    • Verify supplier test & process setup in according to requirement, if provided from Engineering/PM.  If not presently existed, need to drive and define new requirements, and to establish new process to ensure quality assurance.
    • Verify latest revision documentation being controlled - verify supplier’s quality documents & records (eg. ACL/AVL, control plan, test plan, WI) to ensure their documents reflect better or equivalent standards of InVue requirements.  Ensure training plan in place, and ensure in-process verification as well as process control plan checking, etc.
    • Ensure component parts and assemblies are consistently manufactured in compliance to specified requirement.
    • Facilitate NUDD+I Quality Risk Assessment with supplier to minimize potential risk – especially on new process, new parts, etc.
    • Validate T-build samples and ensure suppliers provide quality parts (right qty, right parts, right identification) and detailed T-build report for each build.
    • Responsible for Phase 4 Exit of Supplier Production Readiness
      • Carry out professional product audit and process qualification to ensure Phase 4 readiness.
    • Drive and verify corrective action closure before moving forward to next stage.
    • Facilitate post-build / post-pilot meeting and action closures.
    • Ensure inspection plan has been defined, tested, and in place prior to pilot run.
  • Accountable for developing capabilities & quality improvements within each suppliers & addressing deficiencies and gaps at key processes/steps for improvement actions – by proactively and quickly identifies areas of non-conformance, improvement opportunities & to drive corrective action plans to resolution.
  • Develop supplier processes in order to be consistent & reliable in their execution of daily production, and during NPD activities, etc.
  • Bridge issues / opportunities between Charlotte & suppliers, especially on NPD execution and ECR management, plus any quality issues so that all are in sync and well communicated on issues, actions, following up, etc. 
  • Take primary ownership in internal & external quality complaint, facilitate failure analysis and resolution within timeline
  • Facilitate failure analysis and lead in problem resolution.
  • Drive, verify and implement corrective & preventive action closure within timeline.
  • Support the Source Inspection (SI) Team to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant product and quality requirement.
  • Responsible to drive quality improvement with SI Team.
  • Provide inspection / product training for newly launch products to SI Team
  • Technical support for SI Team.
  • Back up in inspection function.
QUALIFICATIONS  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality control, manufacturing/quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of quality techniques including statistical methods used to analyze and control products variations, capability studies, Gauge R&R’s, Control Planning and FMEA.
  • Prior experience working with power electronics as a Quality Engineer or R&D role is preferred.
  • Team-oriented problem-solving skills using quality tools and structured methodologies.
  • Knowledgeable in the application of Product/Process and Quality System standards of the International Certification bodies, and Customer Quality Requirements.

  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin and English.
