Test Technician

Description

Candidate will be a member of Test Lab Team and will be responsible for the executing and reporting of prescribed test plans. The Test Technician will work closely with Test Engineers and the Quality Team for test development and trouble shooting. Reporting to the Hardware Quality Manager the candidate must be able to function with little supervision.  
  
Responsibilities:  
  • Plan and conduct validation testing activities and reporting
  • Perform daily testing including setup, tear down, and report writing documenting all results
  • Conduct electronic or mechanical tests as specified.  Typical tests include but not limited to durability, temperature cycling, environmental, impact and firmware validations
  • Ensures that samples are tested to requested standards and specifications
Qualifications:  
  • Associate's degree in electrical engineering/related field, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years related work experience test lab environment (Required)
  • Experience setting up and running tests with ability to follow documented procedures
  • Effective at multi-tasking, exceptional organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexibility in the day-to-day tasks and assignments
  • Proficient at soldering electrical wire/components
  • Knowledge of electrical testing tools (Oscilloscope, Digital Multi-meter, E-loads, bench top power supplies, etc.)
Preferred:  
  • 5+ years of experience in product testing and validations for Electrical / Mechanical Products
  • Knowledge of EE hardware & firmware development & testing
  • Knowledge of IoT solutions
  • Experience working in Jira
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Experience in basic manufacturing process including electronic assembly, SMT, testing, injection molding, welding alloy structures & machining of alloys and composites.
  • Experience running test scripts (Python and LabView software) is preferred
