Senior SAP Finance Consultant (GL/CO) (US Citizen or Permanent Resident required)  
Migration experience preferred from ECC to S/4HANA.
SAP Experience
  • 8-10 years of SAP experience. State government and/or Public Sector experience required.
SAP Skills
  • Must have excellent functional knowledge of S/4HANA finance subject matters: GL, CO, FM, AP, AR, AM, etc.
  • Must have Expertise in intercompany accounting, RAR integration, intercompany cost allocation and Group Reporting.·
  • Must have the ability to drive reporting requirements with the FI functional team by interacting with those resources.
  • Must have the ability to understand existing blueprints and requirements documents.
  • Must have excellent specification writing skills.
  • Must have the ability to recognize when reporting requirements overlap within a subject matter for the purposes of report consolidation.
  • Experience writing Reporting Functional Specifications with Public Sector clients.
  • Be able to perform under pressure and a fast-paced project.
  • At least five full life-cycle implementation projects (from Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live).
  • At least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation.
  • Understanding of SAP Activate Methodology.
  • Sound knowledge of configuration and master data, in GL, AP, AR, Asset accounting and Cash and Bank accounting including New GL accounting, document splitting and closing cockpit.
  • Sound knowledge of cost element, cost center, internal order, and has a working knowledge of profit center accounting.
Responsibilities 
  • Leads project implementations as a General Ledger Lead and understands integration to Funds Management and Grants Management modules following SAP ASAP or Activate Methodology standards.
  • Understands Public Sector Accounting and all the dependent master data objects required for financial reporting
  • Provides specialist level functional and configuration knowledge in designing SAP solutions in the FI and CO modules. 
  • Should have sound knowledge of configuration and master data, in GL, AP, AR, Asset accounting and Cash and Bank accounting including New GL accounting, document splitting and closing cockpit.
  • Should have sound knowledge of cost element, cost center, internal order, and has a working knowledge of profit center accounting.
  • Understands configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of SAP and provide financial expertise into the definition and resolution of issues in this area with this knowledge.
  • Conducts or participates in user requirements gathering, blueprinting & documentation designs. Ensure compliance to existing, and development of required data and reporting standards.
  • Ensure the integrity of the finance configuration of the SAP system across multiple landscapes
  • Leads workshops with customers to demonstrate and explain module functionality and best practice processes.
  • Assists customers improve business processes and documents changes required to SAP configuration settings to implement redesigned business processes.
  • Develops to-be design documentation for Master Data and Process designs.
  • Unit tests standard transactions and applications.
  • Develops functional specifications for Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Data Conversions, Enhancements and Forms.
  • Coordinates with technical developers to review specifications with customers, explain the design and obtain approval of specifications. 
  • Makes SAP configuration settings as required.

  • Resolves defects and issues identified by customer in integration testing.
  • Assists training developers by providing conceptual content, exercise content and demonstration content. Reviews training materials for correct representation of SAP functionality.
  • Executes data conversions and provides data validation assistance to customer.
  • Assists customers anticipate, identify and resolve post go-live issues.
  • Updates all design, configuration and specification documentation and conducts a documentation walk through with customer.
  • Provides knowledge transfer to customer throughout the project.
  • Responsible for the management of module Scope. 
  • Identifies and logs issues and risks.
  • Establish clear expectations regarding status reporting, team communication and deliverable management. 
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants and project team members.
  • Manages and provide oversight of team tasks. 
  • Reports to Functional lead.
