Role - SAP TRM Solution Architect
SAP Skills -
  • 10+ years of experience in two or more SAP modules or submodules.
  • At least four full life-cycle implementation projects (from Blueprint/Explore through Go-Live) with tax authorities.
  • Understands SAP Activate Methodology, ASAP, SCRUM, Waterfall, etc.
  • Understands the integration between modules and systems through interfacing.
  • Ability to work in both pre-sales as well as implementation teams with a consulting mindsets
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements into SAP functionality, identify fit/gap as well as technical solutions for gaps.
  • Capability to lead detailed module-specific Explore sessions.
  • Ability to use Service Marketplace to create tickets, research notes, review release notes, and solution roadmaps as well as provide guidance to customers on release strategy.
  • Understands complete FICA-specific SAP functionality as well as integration points with other modules.
  • Understands how to utilize SAP’s standard functionality/Integration to meet business requirements.
  • Effectively plans configuration and drives development stages to meet the business requirements.
  • Ability to estimate resources needed to meet project targets.
  • Expert level knowledge in multiple modules of SAP and multiple industry experience.
  • Great understanding of the industry trends showcasing thought leadership.
  • Exposure to new technologies of SAP and willingness to develop and identify niche pointed solutions.
  • Explore and identify from customer discussions new sales leads.
  • Identify industry-relevant business challenges including building new technology solutions around taxation.
  • Excellent understanding of customer processes and identify the bottlenecks.
  • Able to communicate with customers confidently, convince / coach clients on the most appropriate solution, and agree on an effective way forward in the best interest.
Responsibilities -
  • Undertakes and owns the Solution Architecture of multiple modules to ensure that the integration of systems, processes, data preparation, migration etc are ensured.
  • Total ownership for the entire solution design and solution delivery incl. customer engagement.
  • Provides the strategy that is required in the various phases of the Projects (eg., when, what, where how, and why).
  • Guides the project team for all open issues or processes and ensures that the processes are designed at the most optimized level.
  • Supports the Project Management (PMO) in all activities that are required to build the project plan, resource estimation, identify and estimate the activities, and monitors the progress of the overall solution.
  • Understand at the expert level that Customer processes, business challenges, SAP processes, and architecture issues are resolved proactively.
  • Support the Project Management (PMO) for scope creep, impact analysis, and effort requirements including delays etc.
  • Communicate, conduct periodic Project meetings, and provide regular updates to ensure that the overall solution is well-designed and delivered.
Pre-sales -
  • Leads and actively participates in global Pre-Sales activities.
  • Preparation of various artefacts/assets/presentation slides to support the sales team.
  • Understands the customer processes, supports to preparation of the Scope of Work (SOW), and prepares the effort estimation.
  • Leads the customer interaction for the entire Solution Platforms and engagement perspective brings in clarity of thought in the SOW (without any ambiguity) and ensures that SOW becomes the basis of further interaction.
  • Accountable for building the SOW by bringing in the activity level planning and visibility.
  • Leads the Proof of Concept (PoC) and conducts demos to the various Clients.
Practice Responsibilities -
  • Participates in peer reviews to other projects and shares the feedback with the Practice Head / relevant Project Managers and identifies the approach for any shortcomings.
  • Follow up with the respective project peers and ensure that the feedback/observations/recommendations are incorporated and monitored.
  • Actively participates in all TRM Practice activities particularly focusing on PoC build, Knowledge Management (KM) activities, and re-usable build to achieve practice objectives.
  • Leading the TRM Center of Excellence (CoE).
  • Supports Practice Head on the strategy activities including participation in recruitment drive and conducts regular interviews to ensure that the best talent is joining the TRM Practice.
  • Be responsible for transforming the TRM consultants to be the most talented pool by actively coaching, mentoring, role modelling etc.
  • Creating of training material for our TRM Academy.
  • Proactively informs the Practice Head on the slips in the projects and seeks intervention.
  • Proactively seeks additional support within the TRM Practice on knowledge gaps.
Education -
  • BA/BS in computer science, business administration, and or related fields. MBA, MS preferred.
