Maintenance Planner
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
 
The Maintenance Planner's primary role is to improve work quality and productivity by proper planning of required materials, procedures and resources for maintenance work. The Planner is responsible for planning and kitting of all maintenance work performed in assigned areas. 

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  •  Develop and maintain planned and predictive maintenance procedures (including craft job packages) as required
  • Estimate cost of each work order in terms of direct labor, materials required and total cost
  • Maintain backlog files of work orders, and schedule in accordance with their priority limits with an estimated completion date
  • Create weekly plans to include planned work and preventative maintenance work
  • Identify and obtain materials, special tools and equipment necessary to complete maintenance projects
  • Deliver parts, tools and other equipment needed to respective work groups and/or jobsites on the day the work will be performed or as instructed
  • Review completed work orders for completeness and accuracy and update machinery history data and Bill of Materials
  • Manage rental equipment and related costs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
  
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least three years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance environment
  • Valid Driver’s License
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
 
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting maintenance problems and establishing preventive maintenance procedures preferred
  • Proficient knowledge in computer programs including: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and maintenance management systems
 
SCHEDULE, PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 
Schedule
  • 4/10 schedule, Monday – Thursday, 10-hour workdays. Schedule subject to change.
Physical Demands
 
  • Standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching or grasping
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, and potentially work at heights, perceive color differences
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and engage in strenuous physical activity
Work Environment
  • Outdoors, in a non-temperature controlled environment, and subject to weather conditions
  • Exposed to louder than moderate noises (ex: vehicle noises, machinery noises, etc.)
    Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Will, at times, be exposed to loud noises
