JOB TITLE: Carnallite Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY
The Carnallite Supervisor will work closely with the Process Engineer, Ponds Supervisor, and Plant Manager to apply engineering principles, data analysis, and problem solving to troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs and manages Carnallite personnel by participating in the interview and hiring process, inspecting plant processes to ensure optimum performance, providing timely performance feedback and conducting employee performance evaluations
- Responsible for managing the department’s compliance with the organization’s safety programs, including, assisting with safety training for Carnallite employees, and observing and enforcing safety and company rules
- Responsible for generating weekly production reports
- Directs and manages department schedules and overtime to meet production, sales and budget targets
- Serves the primary resource for daily production support for immediate process and product problems
- Assists with the identification and implementation of process improvements leading to process loss reduction and process uptime improvements
- Responsible for maintaining accurate process documentation, including the following:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Block Flow Diagrams (BFD) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
- Assists with the execution of capital projects and status reports.
- Actively participates in the process of identification and resolution of product quality issues
- Acts as the safety Liaison for operations and the Central Safety Committee (CSC)
- Leads site training for process operation, sampling and troubleshooting
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 10 years of operation’s experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Safety conscious, promotes safety awareness
- Proficient computer skills (typing, Word, Excel, Outlook, Mincom Ellipse, eMESA,)
- Highly motivated and self-starter
- Demonstrated experience interpreting technical manuals and SOPs
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
