Job Title: Truck Driver
Reports To: HB Production Supervisor
Location: New Mexico – Various
OVERVIEW
A Truck Driver operates various heavy equipment to haul products between plants and to other locations. This position requires a safety-conscious work attitude and comfort in operating large mobile equipment.
JOB DUTIES
- Load, haul and unload products like potash and salt between plants and other locations
- Perform pre and post shift inspections to ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, and report any safety hazards to appropriate personnel
- Complete routine truck maintenance and equipment clean up, such as: checking & adding water and lubricants to trucks, changing truck tires, etc.
- Fill out scale tickets and truck condition sheets
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Possession of Class A CDL is required
- Two (2) years heavy equipment and tractor & trailer operation preferred

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
12-hour shifts, rotating shift schedule, with a 7 day long change once a month.
4-night shifts, 3 days off
3-day shifts, 1 day off
3-night shifts, 3 days off
4-day shifts, 7 days off
. Schedule and overtime subject to change.
- Outdoors, in a non-temperature controlled environment, and subject to weather conditions
- Exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
- Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching or grasping
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, and potentially work at heights, and perceive color differences
- Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and engage in strenuous physical activity
A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity. Placement into the position will not be made until the results are received and cleared by Intrepid.
