Job Title: CBM Technician
Reports To: Maintenance Development Coordinator
Location: New Mexico – East Plant

OVERVIEW

The CBM Technician is responsible for providing PdM services to facilities as directed by management. Technicians are normally assigned an area of plant for collection of technical data. The Technician will be accountable for ensuring compliance with all Intrepid, MSHA and other applicable safety standards.

JOB DUTIES  
  • Collect data such as vibration, IR Data and baseline equipment data, and work with CBM Analysts on reviewing data and technical report generation 
  • Download date from analyzer to computer  
  • Predict preventive maintenance measures based on production data, help set priorities based on equipment repairs based on severity level, and follow up on repairs that were recommended 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 
  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • One (1) year hands-on experience in vibration required 
  • Four (4) years mechanical experience (ex: repairing engines, calibration, etc.) with emphasis on industrial equipment preferred 
  • Category I Certification in the VIBE, IR, UT & Oil analysis technology required

SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
9/80 schedule, Monday – Thursday, 9-hour workday days. Fridays worked, 8-hour workday, with every other Friday off. Subject schedule to change.  

Outdoors, in a non-temperature controlled environment, and subject to weather conditions  
  • Exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
    Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Job physical requirements include: standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching or grasping.  
 
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. up to 2/3 of the time. Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, and work at heights, and perceive color differences. Will be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and engage in strenuous physical activity. 
 
A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity. Placement into the position will not be made until the results are received and cleared by Intrepid.
