Los Angeles-based Internet Brands, Inc. is seeking a sharp, motivated Senior Corporate Development Analyst to join our team and play an integral role in our M&A process.  This role would be a core member of the corporate development team involved in key buy-side deal execution functions and M&A strategy development as well as interfacing with operational business unit executives throughout Internet Brands.  We are a highly active M&A team having completed over 200 closed transactions in the last 20 years.    

Responsibilities:
- Develop and own financial valuation models in support of acquisitions
- Participate in developing diligence plans and interfacing with acquisition targets throughout diligence process 
- Perform complex quantitative analyses and ad hoc business diligence 
- Develop market perspectives and help create strategic frameworks to support M&A strategy (industry research, competitive landscaping, market sizing, product analysis, greenfield market development opportunity etc.).
- Prepare executive materials (powerpoint presentations, excel analysis etc.) distilling key data insights and summary conclusions to support senior management decision making

Requirements:

- Ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within an accounting firm, corporate development/finance role, or management consulting firm.
- BS/BA in Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics or Business.
- High degree of demonstrable proficiency building sophisticated financial models
- Excellent analytical abilities and the ability to form key, succinct insights and recommendations from comprehensive analyses involving large amounts of data.
- Ability to think broadly “beyond the numbers” and bring a holistic business perspective
- Experience with market and competitive research a plus.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability in organizing and presenting complex analysis to stakeholders and senior-level management.
- Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity with the ability to adapt to the situation, be flexible and nimble in terms of work planning, and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
