About the Job 

We are currently seeking a senior-level geologist or hydrogeologist in our Investigation and Remediation business area.  The position will support multiple clients and projects, with a focus on surface and groundwater investigations and analyses.  The day-to-day work will vary and may include data analysis, site model development, strategic planning, expert witness support, and report writing.  Career growth at Integral offers future opportunities to grow project management opportunities, communicate with clients, and present your work through science conferences. Most assignments will require teamwork, though a few will be entirely your responsibility. 

This position may offer in-office, hybrid, or remote opportunities based on the candidate’s location and the needs of the organization. 

Responsibilities 

As a senior-level Scientist, your job functions will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Performing remedial investigations and feasibility studies under CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, and state equivalent programs, and surface and groundwater resource evaluations 
  • Implementing of hydrogeologic and sediment investigations, including site characterization, preparation and implementation of field sampling programs, and data evaluations
  • Field sampling and/or sampling oversight
  • Performing surface water and or groundwater numerical modeling
  • Project and task management
  • Communicating technical information to varied audiences (e.g., clients, staff, regulators, and stakeholders)
  • Technical report writing

Qualifications 

Candidates should hold a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, environmental or civil engineering, or a related technical field. 

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in environmental field sampling plan development and execution
  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • A desire to grow intellectually and professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully within multidisciplinary and diverse teams
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training Certification desirable
  • A professional hydrogeologist, geologist, or engineering 

Annual Salary Range: $105,000-$130,000 

An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company-match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability, paid sick leave (80 hours per year), paid vacation (18 days), paid holidays (9 days per year), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be pro-rated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
