Insurity’s Next Architect
We are seeking an experienced Architect to lead the design and evolution of Bureau content, rates, and forms across Insurity’s Policy Administration systems, enabling innovation, operational excellence, and differentiated customer outcomes.
What Our Architect Will Do
Innovation Leadership
o Collaborates with Insurity’s senior technical leaders to design and deliver innovative functionality that advances and differentiates Insurity’s Bureau offerings.
o Evaluates existing processes, tools, and technology, partnering with Product and R&D teams to implement enhancements that accelerate speed to market.
o Oversees ideation & development of new functionality for Circ, ensuring highest standards of quality & performance.
o Inspires with forward thinking vision and dream big but ensure ideas are grounded in data.
o Continuously explores emerging technologies and innovative concepts to identify breakthrough opportunities that drive growth and transformation.
o Collaborates with internal teams to foster a culture of innovation, encouraging and recognizing new ideas that drive continuous improvement and differentiation.
Technology
o Participate in SDLC estimation and development processes for highly complex assignments
o Investigate, assess, and conduct proof of concept of new technologies to determine the best technologies for our cost structure, skill structure and are the best fit for the company
o Evangelize new technologies across all stakeholders
Product Architecture
o Ability to act as a champion of design and development roadmap decisions
o Defining and evangelizing vision for product roadmap in conjunction with stakeholders
o Ensure that enhancements align with the design philosophy
o Determine new solutions that can be delivered to take advantage of new technologies and to stay current in the market
o Represent the company as a technical expert with business partners (customers, prospects, partners)
Design
o Determine technical solutions of any items
o Provide guidance to other developers
o Review other developers' solutions
o Knowledge of common design patterns
o Create and error-proof designs to reduce or eliminate maintenance and ongoing manual testing validation
o Works to reduce complexity in the code base
o Create design proposals and prototyping support for new problem spaces and first-time development of highly complex solutions or new & emerging technology
Development
o Develop technical documentation for software solutions for targeted audience, which may include internal and external customers
o Develop solutions for problems and enhancements
o Helps to set standards for coding
o Follows Insurity standards for coding and documentation
o Lead a team in delivering a solution
o Responsible for the estimating and planning of projects & solutions
o Provide peer-review of designs, code, and artifact delivery
o Provides in-depth technical troubleshooting and defect investigation & remediation
o Write code and unit tests according to Insurity standards, following an approved technical solution, for simple enhancements and bug fixes
o Develop unit tests for code changes and assigned use cases
o Design & develop automated test harnesses to exercise complex code and reduce manual testing requirements
Documentation
o Able to comment code
o Create an impact assessment doc
o Prepare and present a technical solution e.g. with PowerPoint
Who We’re Looking For
- Recommended:

We continuously analyze and update our salary ranges for our roles according to market trends to not only ensure our employees are paid fairly, but also help close gender, race, and disability wage gaps. Along with the benefits listed above, the career level salary range for this role is $105,000 to $167,000. We share a career level salary as a guideline; however, actual salary may vary based on your experience and qualifications. If your application advances, your recruiter will review these details with you during a video interview.
Languages for Québec candidates: The knowledge of French is required for positions permanently located in Quebec. The English language is required for this position in order to communicate with clients, partners, and colleagues, who are strictly located outside of Québec.
