We are currently looking to fill the following position:

Senior Human Resources Business Partner

As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), you will be the primary HR interface consulting with senior leaders, managers, and employees across the business units under your purview. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent application of all HR policies and processes and will provide guidance and support on everything from talent management, organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, coaching, performance management, etc.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with managers and employees in your assigned business unit(s) to provide overall HR guidance, improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Provide input and identify change management strategies with leaders related to organizational issues, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Provide guidance to leaders for new hire offers, promotions, and transfers
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations where needed
  • Provide performance management guidance to team members (i.e. training, coaching, career development counseling, disciplinary actions)
  • Identify training needs for business units as well as individual executive coaching needs
  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success and that training objectives are met
  • Analyze trends and metrics to implement solutions in partnership with the HR group to improve the work environment
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements across multiple countries
  • Partner with the legal department as needed to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Participate in the creation, adaptation, improvement, and implementation of company policies and procedures and provide guidance and interpretation to team members
  • Track financial and headcount targets for assigned business unit(s)
  • Stay up-to-date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned 

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years’ HR experience coaching and influencing leaders at all levels
  • Expertise in coaching, training, mentoring, change management, and overall talent management
  • Experience working in an information technology environment a plus
  • Knowledgeable in U.S. and Canadian employment legislation (knowledge of UK legislation an asset)
  • Knowledgeable in U.S. and Canadian payroll, retirement, and group benefits practices an asset
  • Excellent written and oral English communication
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with an HRIS and other HR tools (UltiPro an asset)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Time management skills including work planning, prioritization, and organization
  • Ability to collaborate and work autonomously
  • Ability to articulately present information to all levels across the organization
  • Travel is required up to 25%, including international travel

Location: This role will be based in our Montreal, QC office. Note: This role is expected to begin remotely due to COVID-19.
