Insurity’s Next Forward Deployed Engineer
We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to help bring advanced AI-powered insurance solutions into production environments. Our platform applies modern cloud architecture and generative AI to transform insurance workflows—including underwriting automation, claims intelligence, risk analysis, fraud detection, and policy insights.
In this role, you will work closely with internal engineering, product, and solutions teams to implement and extend our platform in real-world insurance environments. You will design and build technical solutions, integrate with complex carrier systems, and rapidly prototype new capabilities using modern AI-assisted development workflows.
This is a high-impact engineering role requiring strong systems thinking, hands-on development, and the ability to move quickly from concept to production. You’ll use tools like Cursor, Replit, Claude Code, and agentic development workflows to accelerate development while solving complex integration and domain problems.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy shipping quickly, solving messy real-world problems, and working across infrastructure, APIs, data systems, and AI-enabled applications.
What Our Forward Deployed Engineer Will Do
Technical Solution Delivery · Design and implement technical solutions supporting AI-driven insurance capabilities such as underwriting automation, claims triage, and policy analysis · Build and extend production systems integrating with internal platforms, carrier systems, APIs, third-party data sources, and legacy technologies · Develop APIs, integrations, and data pipelines to support scalable platform adoption · Rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions to address deployment needs, ambiguous requirements, and evolving customer environments · Own end-to-end technical delivery from solution architecture through deployment and stabilization, ensuring reliability and scalability Engineering & Platform Development · Utilize modern development tooling including AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development and troubleshooting · Deploy solutions in cloud environments including Azure and AWS · Support CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure automation · Maintain scalable, secure, and reliable integrations Troubleshooting & Optimization · Diagnose and resolve issues across distributed systems, integrations, and data flows · Identify system inefficiencies and recommend improvements · Support ongoing performance optimization and platform stability · Provide technical problem resolution across multiple system layers Cross-Functional Collaboration · Partner with product and engineering teams to translate deployment learnings into product enhancements · Collaborate with solutions, engineering, and customer teams to identify technical requirements Customer Engagement & Delivery Ownership · Collaborate directly with customer stakeholders to understand technical requirements and constraints · Communicate solution designs, tradeoffs, and issues to technical and non-technical audiences · Support customer-facing troubleshooting, escalations, and resolution of production issues · Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc. · Other duties as assigned. |

Who We’re Looking For
Proficient knowledge and experience with: · GenAI development tooling (e.g., Cursor, Replit, Claude Code, Copilot, agentic workflows) and familiarity with LLM-powered application patterns · One or more programming languages such as C# / .Net, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java · Experience with SQL and data transformation for working with structured and semi-structured data · Building integrations using APIs and external systems · Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS |
· 5–8 years building and shipping production systems in complex environments (SaaS, fintech, insurtech, or data platforms) · Bachelor’s degree in related field (equivalent work experience may be considered. |
