Position Summary

Walpole Co-operative Bank is seeking a Loan Administrative Assistant I to maintain accurate commercial loan files, provide timely and courteous customer service to borrowers, and complete assigned administrative tasks.

Loan Administrative Assistant I Job Responsibilities

  •     Origination and maintenance of commercial loan files
  • File set up, loan data system input, and pre-closing review for documentation completeness and compliance
  • On-going monitoring of customer files for financial statements, tax returns, insurance coverage and other mandated documents
  • Coordinate loan disbursements, including construction loan disbursements
  • Track Purchase & Sale Agreements, prepare mortgage and UCC discharges
  • Process transactions including general ledger, prepare correspondence and reports, and monitor collection of fees and payoffs
  • Provide courteous and accurate customer service for assigned commercial borrowers
  • Answer questions and resolve service problems, process transactions, and obtain necessary file documents
  • Respond to all telephone inquiries promptly and courteously, relay messages
  • Assist in solving problems in a timely manner; follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Collect documents for reports, UCC/insurance, tax servicing, and escrow requirements, reports and communications
  • Ensure complete loan documentation; notify loan officers or customers of missing or incomplete information and documentation

Loan Administrative Assistant I Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One to two years of prior Teller, customer service, and office experience, preferred
  • Familiarity with Fiserv Premier loan platform system, preferred
  • Understanding of daily loan operations functions, a plus
  • High level of accuracy and detail orientation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workflow
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
