Flexibility to work up to two days remotely 

 

LCHC is seeking a Development Director, reporting to the Senior Director of External Relations and Strategic Communication, to provide vision and oversee all aspects of LCHC’s program of philanthropy including major gifts, events, and fundraising and corporate relations.

 

Benefits Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5-7 years’ experience in development for nonprofit organizations or healthcare organizations
  • Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) certification preferred
  • Strong computer aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency with donor database systems
  • Successful application of digital fundraising methods with proven results and experience with major gift solicitation
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Solid organizational, time management and project management skills
  • Ability to appreciate and show respect for diversity during interactions; respond appropriately or seek support when confronted with cultural biases or conflicts
  • Effective at working with others to reach common goal and objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and cultivate strong relationships
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • History of good attendance, professionalism, and positive work attitude

Development Director Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance to strengthen and increase the LCHC donor base, including individual, foundation and corporate prospects
  • Partner with the Senior Leadership team to identify fundraising needs, goals, and approaches
  • Collect, organize, and maintain database of donors and donations received
  • Establish benchmarks, metrics and reporting systems for fundraising operations
  • Manage all aspects of development efforts
  • Plan, lead, and manage development projects and campaigns
  • Manage major gift prospects and donors through stages of research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
  • Develop and maintain key long-term relationships with current donors and develop pipelines
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Team to develop a comprehensive marketing and communications plan; ensure consistentcy for all donor communications
  • Oversee development for consultants
  • Create powerful, compelling presentations for fundraising
  • Manage, train and mentor current/future development staff and/or volunteers.
