Hooker & Holcombe, Inc. is seeking an OPEB Actuarial Analyst, primarily responsible for preparing annual OPEB actuarial valuations, including data reconciliation, asset reconciliation, update of plan features, and actuarial assumptions.

OPEB Actuarial Analyst Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 3 to 5 years of prior OPEB experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Efficient use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
• Prior experience with ProVal, a plus
• Progress on actuarial exams a plus

OPEB Actuarial Analyst Job Responsibilities

• Determine accounting assets and liabilities; complete applicable accounting expense reports and disclosures
• Complete government filings
• Complete OPEB cost estimates for proposed assumption or plan changes, when applicable
• Provide OPEB information requested by accountants in connection with plan audits
• Special client and/or company related projects as needed
• Establish trusting client relationships; deliver professional and responsive customer service
