Forklift Operator, 2nd Shift

Hours:  2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.


Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator, primarily responsible for using a forklift to load, unload and transport materials and products between various destinations to supply all lines with films.

Forklift Operator Job Responsibilities

  • Load rolls of film and boxes from Windup Room and transport to Packing
  • Transport film and boxes to the respective line (250, 750 lines) to set up lines
  • Ensure empty gaylords have enough supply upstairs in the Windup Room
  • Load, unload, and transport all products arriving from outside suppliers into Shipping and transport to Warehouse
  • Act as backup lead when Fulfillment Manager is absent
  • Maintain necessary reports and files
  • Interact with other workers throughout the production area (e.g., Blade Room, Packing, Windup, And Shipping)
  • Comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to OSHA which are applicable to the employee’s actions and conduct

Forklift Operator Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred; forklift certification required
  • 0-2 years of experience driving forklifts in warehouse setting
  • Certification in OSHA Safety Training
  • Possess dexterity to maneuver machines through tight spaces, around large objects, and on uneven surfaces
  • Good mechanical aptitude to make minor adjustments to machines when necessary
  • Alertness with good visual ability
  • Ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs.
