The Waukesha Product Training Center (PTC) helps learners develop the skills and knowledge needed to obtain the maximum value from their Waukesha gas engines, by making complex concepts simple to understand.

Our modular courses and training programs help people around the world develop, maintain and enhance required knowledge & skills, whether learning about our engines for the first time or staying up-to-date with the latest technology changes.

To support the development of our Waukesha training curriculum, we are looking for a Training Program Specialist to join our dynamic team.

This specialist will focus heavily on communication (written, electronic, and social), and course copy editing. We are looking for a team player who is willing to do what it takes to help the team succeed. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Capable of working with our corporate communications team to promote the Product Training Center initiatives and visibility
    • Must be fluent in social media applications
    • Support, monitor views to increase reach
    • Lead all communications from the PTC team to external stakeholders
  • Experience editing, proofing, and formatting written documents for courses, as well as working with printers for workbook creation and design
  • Maintain course catalog
  • Support and manage the Waukesha Authorized Technical Trainer (WATT) program for Channel Partners:
    • Communicate the WATT program with potential WATT candidates and establish a roadmap from application to successful certification of new WATTs
    • Support, track and monitor the training performance of authorized trainers
    • Develop and maintain a regular communication rhythm with the existing WATTs including WATT conferences
    • Support evaluation and updates of the WATT program procedures
    • Organize and support the auditing processes for Waukesha product training
  • Support and manage the Waukesha Field Technician Certification program:
    • Support process updates, communication and continuous improvement of the Waukesha Field Technician Certification program
    • Track, monitor and report completion of training initiatives and qualification levels defined in the Waukesha Field Technician Certification program
    • Own and drive enrollment in the Waukesha Online Learning Package (e-learnings and webinars)
    • Drive the execution of defined training programs based on short term training needs resulting from product upgrades, fleet programs, etc.
    • Own data integrity and work with Channel Partners and customer to ensure all data is correct
    • Work and communicate with all internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve training related programs, processes and procedures
    • Ensure all compliance, integrity and EHS guidelines are continuously followed
  • Work with the Training Coordinator to support the delivery of courses, including site support activities for local events
  • Function as the back-up for the Training Coordinator and cross-train on tasks
  • LMS Administration knowledge and the ability to work within an LMS system to manage customer records and develop basic reports


Qualifications/Requirements
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication or equivalent or a minimum of five years in an education, communication or training role with a proven track record
    • Strong social media skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English language
    • Project/program management experience and the ability to influence other team members
    • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook) and an ongoing willingness to learn new software
    • Analytical strengths and attention to detail and accuracy
    • Knowledge of Learning Management System functionality and support
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to design and follow detailed processes
    • High customer focus and focus on co-operation and teamwork with others at all levels
    • Flexible and able to cope with changing priorities, ability to work independently and under pressure, while meeting agreed timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to build a positive culture and rapport within the team, and with all levels of an organization
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
