What are we Looking for
The Supplier Quality Intern will be a member of the Welland Quality Team and working closely to support our Quality and Supply Chain departments. This includes performing a variety of assignments to ensure the quality and availability of parts and/or products for our manufacturing plant, as well as our service customers.
Co-op Term: May 2026 – September 2026
Essential Responsibilities 
  • Updating delivery data in internal ERP system regarding supplier information and internal products
  • Supporting external supplier communications and updates
  • Assisting in the resolution of parts qualification from approved supply base
  • Reviewing daily fulfillment of parts from supply base through expediting components, based on priority for assembly, machining and service teams
  • Assisting with internal customers to receive, analyze and provide commitments regarding external parts quality.
  • Developing ideas on streamlining communications (process improvements) within quality organization.
  • Analyzing stored data, creating reports and spreadsheets
  • Working as an Internal customer liaison for general inquiries on supply chain procedures for assembly, machining, warehouse departments
  • Work with team leaders and management to drive quality initiatives
  • Simple measurement and review of first piece samples from suppliers.
  • Support Supplier Quality Engineers with daily tasks.
Qualifications/Requirements 
  • In process of completing degree in a related discipline, such as Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience working within a manufacturing setting

  • Desire to learn about the technical process of supplier and production quality
  • Professional demeanor/customer service oriented
  • Ability to multi-task, and deliver key objectives within established timelines
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft software, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Oracle and/or other ERP systems preferred
