Maintenance Operations Leader

Role Summary/Purpose
The Maintenance Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance activities of the Repair & Overhaul Operations at our Waukesha manufacturing facility, including planning, scheduling, and supervising a team of maintenance technicians and industrial electricians to ensure equipment is properly maintained, repairs are completed efficiently, and operational uptime is maximized, while adhering to safety standards and budget constraints.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and company standards
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians and industrial electricians, including performance evaluations and training
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure proper skill allocation for maintenance projects
- Establish daily٫ weekly and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
- Monitor team productivity and address any performance issues
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify necessary repairs
- Oversee complex repair projects, including coordinating with external contractors if needed
- Ensure timely completion of repairs to minimize operational disruptions
- Manage CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, inventory, and maintenance data
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs
- Manage the maintenance budget, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Procure necessary maintenance parts and supplies
- Identify trends and areas for improvement within the maintenance operations
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize overall operational efficiency
- Support a culture that values quality and drive improvements to ensure a quality product is delivered to our customer.
- Support both internal and external process audits within our production to maintain and meet ISO compliance.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with manufacturing related focus or related field (or 3+ years of comparable industry experience)
- Strong understanding of various industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related maintenance procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
