Job Description: 
The Sourcing Intern will be responsible for assisting the Sourcing team in various sourcing activities, including supplier evaluation, project management, process improvement, and supplier relationship management.  This role will provide the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic sourcing and procurement operations with a global supply base.  This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to gain practical experience in sourcing and procurement.  The Sourcing Intern role will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to important projects & initiatives.
  
Responsibilities:  
  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of potential suppliers through Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quote (RFQ), and Request for Proposal (RFP).
  • Support the Sourcing team in execution of 2025 cost savings initiatives and new project funnel building for 2026 & beyond. 
  • Conduct market research to identify raw material pricing trends and opportunities with suppliers.
  • Assist in the development of a Quarterly Sourcing Newsletter.
  • Assist in the maintenance of standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Category strategies.
  • Support the Sourcing team in the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Participate in supplier meetings, audits and negotiations as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement opportunities within the sourcing function.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Procurement Manager.
Qualifications: 
  • Completed or working towards a college degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.  Technical or engineering majors looking for business development experience encouraged to apply.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices is a plus.
Previous internship or related experience in sourcing or procurement field is a plus
