If you are familiar with combustion engines and you are, for example, a (car) mechanic, then you meet the basic knowledge requirements for our engines. If you have an affinity for control technology, that would be a bonus.

Who are we? 

Jenbacher Gas Engines GMBH, part of the INNIO group, produces gas engines, generator sets, cogeneration units and accessories for power generation and compressors at its plant in Jenbach (Tyrol-Austria). All of which contribute to more efficient, cheaper and sustainable energy generation on site. The power range of our engines goes from 330 kW to 10,000 kW, running on different gas types, including natural gas, but also biogas, landfill gas, mine gas, water treatment gas, hydrogen and industrial waste gases. The plants are often supported by our service department throughout their lifetime, both with remote monitoring and fault analysis, as well as on-site support.

What exactly do we do?

As Technical Support Assistant, you are the first point of contact for our customers and provide technical support based on remote analyses to solve the problem within the agreed contractual response times or transfer it to our Field Service department if the problem cannot be solved remotely. If required, we will investigate in the field together with Field Service to find a proper solution to the problem.

What will you do?

As a Technical Support employee, you take customer complaints and malfunctions over the phone and register them in our Salesforce case management system. On the basis of the remote analysis, via our advanced myPlant system on which all engine data comes in, you can answer the customer's questions and/or remotely solve the malfunction or give the customer the right instructions so he can solve the problem himself. You will also analyse myPlant Analytics and proactive reports from MyPlant and mailbox to prevent customer breakdowns. You will also handle internal queries from our CSA and Field Service departments. If the problem cannot be solved remotely, it will be transferred to our Field Service department, which manages the mechanics, and you will indicate the probable cause of the problem. If necessary, you provide telephone support to our engineers on site. If required, you will work together with Field Service on site to find the right solution to the problem. You keep your technical knowledge up to date by occasionally working alongside the Field Service engineers and by consulting intensively with our Asset team (Level 3 knowledge level) or Main office in order to solve problems remotely and/or provide better support to the customer or Field Service engineer.

Who are you?

  • You are a go-getter and can work well independently, but also in a team.
  • You have at least a  degree, e.g. in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Mechatronics
  • You know the operation of, or have an affinity with, internal combustion engines; Jenbacher engine knowledge is an advantage
  • You are familiar with control technology
  • You are quality-conscious
  • You can read/understand electrical wiring diagrams
  • You have analytical skills
  • You have experience in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and with computers
  • You have a good command of the Danish and English language in word and writing
  • You realize that you are the customer's first point of contact and have good communication skills
