Description

As a Sourcing Team Leader you will be in charge of guideing a team of Sourcing Operations Specialists based in Budapest office as well as Jenbach, Austria and other regional locations. This role involves managing resource allocation and daily operations, as well as leading the development of procurement processes and IT tools & systems.

In this role your tasks will be:

  • Lead the sourcing operations team supporting Jenbacher, Waukesha, and Welland business units
  • Serve as the primary contact for Sourcing Operation Specialists
  • Manage sourcing for direct, indirect, expense items, Balance of Plan, Ship-loose, and local items
  • Own and enhance sourcing operation metrics for the assigned business unit
  • Supervise team activities to achieve targets, ensuring accurate transaction processing (POR to PO issue resolution, item activation, RFQ&RFP process, order confirmation, NPI projects, supplier onboarding, on hold invoice issue resolution)
  • Maintain supplier master data integrity and compliance (AS, quote, pen source, lead time, sourcing rule, etc.)
  • Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and business simplification initiatives
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a cohesive and high-performing environment
  • Ensure operational excellence, integrity, and compliance

Your profile:

  • Completed university degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade or relevant
  • Minimum of 3-5 years work experience in procurement
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Oracle), data analysis, and MS Office, especially Excel
  • Fluent in English and German (C1 level), with proficiency in Hungarian
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in managing teams, as well as cross-functional projects
  • Ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
