Role Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Management, the NPI Project Manager role will provide best in class product development for the Waukesha engines business unit. They will bring best practice project management skills including setting, tracking, and executing business milestones. Expertise including scheduling, complex decision making, risk identification and mitigation, delegation, and executive communication are desired. They will work closely with the Waukesha product management team to deliver new product introductions to the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

· As a member of the product management team, act as the program manager for driving business level product initiatives.

· With product managers, create and manage cross functional plans across business organizations, including: Engineering, sourcing, product management, manufacturing, product training, and field service teams

· Serve as the point of contact across business functions to keep projects and personnel aligned with key growth initiatives.

· Develops and maintains detailed project work breakdown structures and integrated functional schedules

· Day on day project execution against schedule. Ensures on-time project deliverables

· Continued identification, treatment, and retirement of project risks

· Act as Manufacturing, Assembly, Sourcing, Engineering, and Service interface within product management team to ensure smooth transition of product changes into production.

Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business or related field.

· Minimum 10+ years of experience in product development, program management, or product management.

· Understanding of logistics, sourcing, engineering, and manufacturing

· Ability to work independently and autonomously to deliver results across business functions

· Facilitate communication between departments to ensure action tracking and issue resolution on growth related new product introductions.

· Ability to set, track and execute business milestones. Delegate tasks

Desired Characteristics

· Demonstrated marketing expertise including bringing new products to market; with experience in oil and gas and or/energy.

· Background in reciprocating engines and power generation

· Ability to work collaboratively across functional groups and large organizations.

· Ability to attract, mentor and build strong teams that deliver exceptional performance

· Ability to manage multiple projects

· Strong process analysis and problem-solving skills

· Strong presentation development and broader communication skills that turn concepts into effective structured messages for non-technical internal and external decision makers.
