Lead Controls Engineer – Microgrid Solutions
Description
As a Lead Controls Engineer – Microgrid Solutions, you will shape advanced control solutions for modern and sustainable power systems. You will drive projects across the full lifecycle—from requirements engineering and design to implementation, validation, and commissioning—while working with interdisciplinary teams to deliver reliable microgrid solutions for our customers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead software projects, including requirements, validation plans, and test specifications.
- Contribute to electrical design, software development, system modeling, and testing for power plant projects.
- Support commissioning at customer sites and ensure successful project delivery.
- Drive product improvements and help shape next-generation solutions.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong IEC 61131-3 structured text programming skills; Python and MATLAB are a plus.
- Solid knowledge of bus communication and network engineering (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP, IEC 61850).
- Good understanding of control theory and power system control.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- A valid work permit for Austria is required (for non-EU citizens, please attach it to your application).
