Description

As Type 6 Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of the T6 fleet in North America and driving process improvement according to need. This role reports to the Service Execution Leader and requires close collaboration with field service, region operations, Service Engineering, Quality, and end users.

In this position, you will be responsible for

  • Monitoring status & configuration of Type 6 install base in region; projects to be commissioned, active fleet, scheduled maintenance, and unplanned cases
  • Providing regular status updates regarding Type 6 fleet performance and engine availability to local & HQ teams
  • Evaluating Type 6 inventory, tooling, and technician availability based on fleet dynamics. Collaborate with responsible owners to close gaps
  • Monitoring Field Technicians for Type 6 certification and support training needs, both in the classroom and in the field; collaborating with Territory Managers and CSMs to build effective training plans
  • Coordinating 24/7 support and lead effective internal escalations, build emergency response processes to quickly react to unplanned downtime
  • Taking leadership of issues; document, track, communicate, and drive to resolution – working with Service, Service Engineering, Quality, and additional teams as needed
  • Monitoring common Type 6 alarms and trips, work with relevant teams to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Tracking and supporting execution of Type 6 fleet programs in the region
  • Identifying & communicating emerging fleet issues, support resolution
  • Developing & maintaining strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders, including CSMs, Territory Managers, HQ teams, and end users

Your profile

  • Strong understanding of reciprocating engine technology (preferably Jenbacher Products) and its applications in the power gen industry
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience) required
  • Technical background (electrical / mechanical), additional commercial experience is beneficial
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Strong experience in project management, continuous improvement, and change management skills
  • Experience in executing complex technical and/or commercial tasks, interdisciplinary thinking/acting
  • Hands on mentality, team player, and highly reliable with a high Say-Do ratio
  • Strong customer focus/experience, troubleshooting, and influencing skills
  • Ability to travel ~50% in North America
  • IT literate
