RESPONSIBILITIES :
Do you have experience with mechanical power generation equipment, and are a high energy, self-starter, serious minded, capable of working independently and in teams? We are currently looking to add Field Service Technicians to our team. This position is responsible for providing scheduled maintenance and performing minor and major engine overhauls in the field.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- min. 4 years of internal combustion engine or reciprocating engine experience preferred
- Prior mechanical experience such as automotive, power generation, heavy equipment or diesel engines.
- Perform preventative maintenance (oil change, valve adjustment, lube and check equipment)
- Experienced using tools (including diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools)
- Ability to read, interpret safety documents, schematics and other mechanical diagrams
- Experienced in troubleshooting and repairs of engines.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- Willing to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
- Ability to travel inclusion of some overnight travel.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
- Must be able to communicate via telephone & email.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% of the time
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Ability and willingness to work remotely, as required
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
- Ability to meet and maintain insurability standards to drive a company vehicle when needed
YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:
- Attended a technical school
- Related military experience
- Maritime engineering background and/or experience
- Experience with reciprocating gas/diesel engines
