You will be responsible for supporting our business throughout the project estimation, design, execution and commissioning phase of electrical power plant projects with INNIO Jenbacher gas engines alongside 3rd party power system components.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Functional (electrical) lead of projects, ensuring compliance with internal and external schedules and stakeholders
  • Preparation of technical specifications, system layouts, and functional calculations for electrical equipment (controls, low and medium voltage, power transformers)
  • Detailed engineering throughout the project execution phase (e.g., wiring diagram design, PLC software coding, bill of material creation)
  • Assisting procurement and commercial teams during the offer phase with ad hoc supplier negotiations and technical requests
  • Providing technical support and advice to customers and partners during face-to-face meetings
  • Working closely with specialists across the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Service departments
  • Creating and further developing our existing customer documentation
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor’s, Dipl. Ing., or Master’s degree in Power Systems / Electrical Engineering or a diploma from a Higher Technical School (HTL)
  • 5+ years of practice in the Energy or EPC sector
  • Basic/solid knowledge of power plant electrical equipment such as transformers, low and medium voltage components, switchgears, cable dimensioning
  • Fluency in English; basic German speaking skills are considered advantageous
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of working time
  • Valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach your work permit to the application)
  • Experience with High and Extra High voltage systems
  • Understanding of basic principles of various bus communication systems (e.g., Modbus, TCP/IP)
  • Proficiency with ePlan P8 is advantageous
  • Knowledge of synchronous generators and/or other DERs (distributed energy resources)
  • PLC programming and/or coding skills, especially in the Automation Studio 4.x environment, are beneficial
  • Enjoys working in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment with a wide range of tasks and responsibilities
  • A healthy interest in (renewable) energy projects will facilitate your transition into the role
