Role :
This Human Resources Manager is the first point of contact for employees located locally in Trenton, New Jersey. This position holder will provide counsel, coaching and support on HR fundamentals and employee questions. The role is critical in executing key HR initiatives, providing available and responsive internal employee support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. They will also act as the HR Manager of record for defined client groups.
Responsibilities :
· Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention
· Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues
· Nurture a positive working environment by ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.
· Act as first point of contact for employees on compensation and benefit related questions
· Partner with HR Business Partners and Organization Talent & Development professionals to execute business-specific HR strategies.
· Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved
· Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
· Conduct HR training and support for functional processes: New Employee Orientation and New Manager Assimilation, Succession planning, Performance Development
· Conduct investigations including gathering, preserving, documenting, and analyzing all available information and evidence, and in some circumstances, making recommendations to the business on disciplinary actions
Qualification Requirements :
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in a related area (or a high school graduate/GED or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant work experience)
· Minimum 8 years of related professional work experience as an HR Manager or equivalent in complex business environment, including matrixed organizations with acquired businesses, union relations, or global footprints.
· HR Specialist experience in Payroll and/or Benefits administration
· Required to travel up to 10% of the time
· Legal authorization to work in the U.S is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources
· Professional Human Resources/Senior Professional Human Resources certification
