Description: 

The Lead Electrical Engineer has engineering responsibility for project-specific design and execution of projects with advanced customer requests for the Jenbacher Reciprocating Engines business. Further tasks mainly include providing project documentation and engineering support for the Jenbacher HQ, participating in on site commissioning protocols, training and sharing knowledge with less experienced colleagues and collaborating with GSCM as single point of contact. 
 

Your tasks: 

  • Collaborate in product design and introduction to manufacturing of gas engines control systems
  • Follow applicable standard and regulatory requirements, and ensure that all requirements are met
  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using engineering principles, business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Act as conduit between factory floor and engineering design team for any design change requirements
  • Engineering support as primary interface for engineering on technical issues with manufacturing, sourcing, project management, HQ Engineering, field installation, and end customer
  • Provide project leadership and engineering support in the execution of new unit packages for the Jenbacher Reciprocating Engines business - this includes ownership of project-specific bills of materials, drawings and related internal and external customer documents eg. Wiring diagram, control SW, etc.
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
  • Modify and create CAD (Eplan) drawings to implement the test checklist and measures, and provide it to field installation, and customer
  • Provide support to Field Engineering group during installation and Warranty (if necessary, also on-site presence)
  • Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings, manuals, documentation, testing procedures, work and quality instructions
  • Work with the test bench to test cabinets, gas engines and power plants to meet customer and quality requirements
  • Provide general technical support to all Jenbacher Project teams during OTR phase and order execution
  • Establish and execute Project Quality controls, hold points and reporting
  • Deliver process improvements
  • Active participation on mandatory EHS trainings and events
  • Follow EHS rules and warn others to follow the rules
  • Immediately report the incidents and near misses to the direct reports and EHS department
  • Immediately shut down the operation when realized life or serious injury risk present
  • Further tasks not involved in this Job Description that the immediate leader/manager assigns with verbally or in writing 
 Your profile:
  •  Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering
  •  Functional/operational knowledge of power plants and gas engines equipment
  •  Able to work with the engineering applications Eplan and Oracle
  •  Basic product knowledge of stationary Jenbacher gas engines and container applications
  •  Experience with Control systems and/or PLC’s
  •  Fluent in English and in Hungarian (German is an advantage)
