The Lead Product Validation Engineer ensures effective and efficient validation of new and redesigned products.

Responsibilities: 

  • Owns product-level DFMEA and DVP&R, contributes to risk identification and mitigation.
  • Ensures DFMEA and DVP&R actions are effectively utilized, executed and completed. Confirms clear test plans with valid pass/fail criteria and aids in unbiased assessment of results.
  • Collaborates with the Engine Development teams (Mechanical, Performance and Controls) to define a realistic, executable and value-added validation plan.
  • Coordinate DVP&R rollup across engineering disciplines, work with Engineering Platform Leader and Project Manager to define master product-level validation plans
  • Compile specifications for field validation, organize and plan parts availability with the System & Component Owners.
  • Prepare documentation and input to field validation requests.
  • Support Field Service Engineering engine investigations in the field at customer sites, analyze investigation results and interpretate parts/engine conditions with the System / Component owner.
  • Prepare written validation reports, coordinate input and present validation results and validation progress within reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an industrial company, comfortable in an international environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or similar specialization
  • Knowledge of reciprocating engines technology and their systems
  • Knowledge of software integration and validation, engine calibration and parameter management
  • Comfortable with technical presentations
  • Analytical mindset coupled with results driven, proactive working style
  • Working knowledge of tools (DFMEA; DVP&R)
  • Working knowledge on methods and development models (V-model,)
  • 5 years + of experience in engine/component test and validation techniques.
  • Willingness to travel as needed ~ 5%
