Position Overview:

The LATAM Work Preparator is responsible for ordering all the parts, consumables, Third Parties and tooling to enable the right execution of field service events. This includes service reports, follow-up of warranty process, control and collect internal and customer invoice payment, and contract management. Main focal point is to support local team in all internal activities related to the field and customer service. Preferred location is Campinas, state of São Paulo and surroundings.

 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the assistant and representative to the Regional Field Service Staff Managers.
  • Handle all direct and indirect customer contacts in a proactive and professional way.
  • Identify parts and tools needed to prepare for service events within the region and order through appropriate vendors.
  • Manage material and labor resources in a cost sensitive way.
  • Creation and management of all service events and triggered tasks within Oracle throughout the process.
  • Provide support to Service Managers through continuous monitoring of all scheduled and unscheduled resources for optimized utilization in accordance with working regulations and guidelines.
  • Create required technical and commercial documentation during operations
  • Support technical warranty process, make sure that all required documents are filled in and uploaded correctly.
  • Support the MYA contracts, checking and providing necessary documents to make sure that everything is correct.  
  • Check and update the local installed based requesting any necessary correction. 
  • Collect all the required documents to charge the customer. 
  • Create necessary reports of control. 
  • Ensure compliance with quality and EHS guidelines regarding internal and external resources.
  • Support EHS by assisting with safety audits, recording EHS observations, and informing the department of any issues.
  • Review service events to track any unplanned actions/work which must be added.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement regarding operations initiatives.
  • Work within the services team to achieve company KPI’s - key performance indicators.
  • Perform other regional duties whenever requested by your manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent in mechanical or electrical. Preferably engineering.
  • 3+ years of technical business experience in preparing service events and supporting technical supervisors/coordinators required.
  • Strong skill working with Oracle ERP, Microsoft Office applications, and technical databases desired.
  • Able to effectively interact and clearly communicate with customers at operational and management level. Customer focus.
  • Troubleshooting skills with analytical mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.

 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent technical specialist knowledge and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to handle stress, stability working under pressure and resilience.
  • Deep understanding and technical knowledge of the serving work across all product variants to organize and order all necessary servicing parts/ equipment.
  • Knowledge of customers and their requirements to respond effectively to queries and to deliver good customer service,
  • Strong written and verbal abilities in English, Spanish and in local language (Portuguese), capable to maintain technical conversations at meetings, elaborate site reports and mails with clarity.
  • Ability to work in structured manner, set priorities, and take initiative.
  • Familiar with Jenbacher reciprocating gas engines.
  • Experience in power generation applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills, office proficiency and logic controls software.
