Description

The NPI Sourcing Program Analyst reports to the NPI Sourcing Leader and will be focused on sourcing initiatives related to new designs, driving to constantly improve processes, achieving financial goals and providing excellent service to internal and external customers.   The primary responsibilities of this role are to manage New Product Introduction (NPI) sourcing activities, coordinating with functions across Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations and Product Management to ensure material is sourced, secured and qualified to meet NPI program deadlines. 
 
Your Responsibilities:
 
  • Based on direction from the NPI Sourcing Leader, project manage NPI sourcing activities by effectively working with Global Category Leaders, Supplier Quality Engineers, Design Engineers, Buyers and Planners to drive NPI procurement tasks.
  • Manage NPI sourcing status updates and participate in NPI program cross functional meetings, design reviews and tollgate reviews, including issue identification, resolution and recommendations
  • Manage RFQ process, with support of tactical buyers, for new NPI designs, based on category strategies, including communication of supplier feedback to engineering, sourcing and supplier quality teams
  • Coordinate supplier selection, based on category strategy and input from GCLs
  • Work with stakeholders to execute the item activation process for NPI material
  • Coordinate the production qualification orders, including alignment and communication of qualification requirements to suppliers, based on input from Supplier Quality
  • Manage and track NPI part deliveries, driving on-time delivery and alignment to supplier promise dates, with clear communication to supplier quality and engineering
  • Proactively engage and collaborate with key stakeholders across functions to ensure alignment to support sourcing strategies and business initiatives
  • Understand and ensure compliance with business requirements, minimizing supply chain risks for new production launches
  • Update and maintain required sourcing attributes in ERP system to enable sourcing readiness for NPI parts (quote, lead time, suppliers, etc.)
  • Independently resolves issues within assigned responsibilities by applying given guidelines, policies, and regulatory framework
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with internal customers and outside suppliers
  • Support NPI related process improvements
Your Profile:
 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering from an accredited university/college or a high school diploma and equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Project Management experience, including Six Sigma Black Belt or PMP certification
  • Requires foundation knowledge of guidelines, practices, and procedures within sourcing function, work experience in Procurement of advantage
  • Working knowledge of ERP and data management & reporting tools (Oracle, SAP, Tableau, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, able to work with large data sets
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, assess and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional organization and be a results-oriented self-starter
  • Team Player mentality and willingness to continuous learning and development
