Your Responsibilities:
  • Develop the core controls software for our gas engine products utilized for electricity and heat production
  • Specify, implement, and test new software features
  • Construct software specifications and requirement documents for the control system
  • Design our next-generation controls system to meet future challenging requirements on enhanced engine efficiency and transient performance, reliable operation with alternative fuels like hydrogen, and advanced safety and cybersecurity standards
  • Implement structured text and MatLab Simulink, Python, C/C++, or any PLC relevant programming language based code to be directly deployed onto the engine control unit
  • Innovate controls solutions for engine genset applications being integrated into complex electric network topologies like multi-engine power plants, microgrids, or large modern data centers providing decentralized/backup power
Your Profile:
  • Master or Bachelor in controls-, software-, mechatronics-, or electrical engineering
  • Active knowledge of English (both spoken and written), German is a plus
  • Fundamental knowledge and interest in internal combustion engines and control theory
  • Mininum 2-3 years of professional experience in industrial automation and control engineering, with specific experience in automation software programming
  • Comfortable working in a global multicultural environment with openness of occasional traveling within Europe
  • Experience with PLC programming in Structured Text, preferably with experience in object-oriented programming approach (e.g., CODESYS Environment)
