We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Project Controller to support our IT Operations team in managing the financial aspects of IT projects. This role is critical to ensuring accurate project accounting, compliance with capitalization guidelines, and alignment with internal governance processes.
 
Your tasks:
  • Project Financial Oversight
    • Monitor and control IT project budgets (CAPEX and OPEX), ensuring alignment with approved financial plans.
    • Track actuals vs. forecasts and identify variances, working closely with IT Project Managers and Finance.
  • Capitalization Management
    • Ensure proper classification and documentation of intangible IT assets for capitalization.
    • Collaborate with Fixed Assets and Accounting teams to support monthly closing activities and asset tracking.
    • Maintain and update CIP trackers and project documentation for audit readiness.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Support IT Governance Committee processes by validating project types, investment classifications, and documentation completeness.
    • Ensure that intangible asset surveys and supporting materials are attached to relevant projects.
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare monthly status reports, KPIs, and dashboards for IT leadership.
    • Provide insights into project performance, cost optimization opportunities, and financial risks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Liaise with IT, Finance, Procurement, and Business teams to ensure smooth execution of financial controls.
    • Support vendor management and purchase order workflows as needed.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
  • Proven experience in IT financial controlling or project accounting, ideally within a corporate IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT capitalization principles and IFRS standards.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus.
