Internship - Microgrid Solutions (m/f/d)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to support software development and validation within the Microgrid Solutions Team at INNIO.

Your responsibilities:
- Enhance the software validation environment for INNIO’s Microgrid control system.
- Develop a model library using Python and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Support continuous integration and automated testing capabilities.
- Scope of work can be tailored to align with the candidate’s expertise and interests.
Your qualifications:
- Ongoing Bachelor’s or Master’s studies in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related fields.
- Educational background and passion for software development (Python, MATLAB).
- Basic understanding of and interest in power system control.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German or the local language is a plus.
- Legal authorization to work in Austria is required. (Non-EU citizens: please attach your work authorization form to your application.)
The internship is a full-time position for at least 6 months starting in January 2027. The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 2.755,26 gross per month (x 14).
