We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Technical Publications team within INNIO Engineering PMO & Operations. This role will help plan, coordinate, and track technical publication projects across INNIO Waukesha Gas Engine product lines, working closely with the Lead Project Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure manuals, parts catalogs, service bulletins, and related documentation are delivered on time and to a high standard.

 

The position will also support the team’s long-term shift from traditional PDF and print documentation to more digital, connected, and interactive technical content solutions.

 

What You'll Do: 

  • Support the Lead Project Manager in coordinating technical publication projects, schedules, deliverables, timelines, action items, and status updates across multiple workstreams.
  • Assist with gathering project requirements, documenting scope, maintaining project plans, preparing status reports, summaries, and stakeholder or leadership presentations.
  • Coordinate with engineering, product line, service, and external contractors to support the development, updates, creation, revision, and release of technical publications, including Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Parts Catalogs, Repair & Overhaul Manuals, and Service Bulletins.
  • Help manage document corrections, updates, addendums, translation requests, change request tracking, internal handoffs, and follow-up activities to support timely completion of deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation, meeting notes, issue logs, and action trackers while contributing to Technical Publications process improvement efforts.
  • Support modernization and digitization initiatives that improve how technical documentation is delivered.

 

What you’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in project coordination, technical publications, engineering support, or a related function.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with external partners.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and tools, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

What will make you stand out.

  • Experience supporting technical documentation, engineering, manufacturing, or service-related projects, including exposure to technical publications, document control, content management, or change management processes.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or MS Project.
  • Interest in digital documentation solutions, modern content delivery, and the transition from traditional manuals to more user-centered technical content experiences.
  • Awareness of emerging documentation technologies such as digital thread, interactive service documentation, mobile or tablet-based content delivery, augmented reality, and connected service tools.

 

Additional Details: 

  • Location: Waukesha, WI
  • Work Schedule: Hybrid model (typically onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%).
  • Visa Sponsorship: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the foreseeable future.
