In this position, you will be responsible for:

Assisting in the development of the cross-platform product and marketing strategy for the Waukesha service product line, along with supporting the launch of new products for the Waukesha gas engine business. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing and product management while working for well-known corporate brand in an industrial manufacturing segment.
In this role, you will:

  • Assist with development of strategic initiatives for the Waukesha service and net engine platforms including launching new engines, service parts, and upgrade kits
  • Assist with commercial launches of new engines and service products to sales managers, parts distributors, and customers
  • Assist with sales and marketing strategies for Waukesha service and new engine product offerings Assist with organizing and hosting commercial communications meetings including preparing agenda and taking minutes
  • Work closely with end users and channel partners to define and communicate marketing materials for product offerings
  • Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions, and product offerings
  • Perform market data analysis for use in developing product strategies and business cases
Your Profile:

  • Firm grasp of available tools for businesses in social media, especially LinkedIn
  • Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing/Communications). Engineering coursework highly desired. Technical or engineering majors looking for business development experience encouraged to apply.
  • Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus
  • Must have solid working knowledge of Office 365 products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint and Microsoft Teams
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts
  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
