Procurement Specialist - JB Base Engine - German Speaker
Description
We are looking for a -German Speaker Procurement Specialist - JB Base Engine to manage procurement activities for base engine components of large bore industrial gas engines produced in Jenbach Austria. The successful candidate will have a key role within the INNIO Direct Material Procurement Team with procurement responsibilities for the core components of an industrial piston engine in close collaboration with world class producers of engine parts (iron foundires, steel forges, precision machinig centers) mainly in Europe, but also around World. The Direct Materials Procurement team at INNIO is responsible for all procurement activities which are required to ensure on-time delivery of cost effective materials which meet the highest standards in quality. The INNIO Procurement team are an essential part of INNIO’s operation as well as pivotal in ensuring that INNIO’s future products continue to exceed market and Customer expectations. This position is located in INNIOs modern office center in Budapest and requires close collaboration with functions located in the Jenbach production site.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute requests for proposals in close cooperation with the strategic buyers
- Prepare & manage supplier-related contractual documents, refine contract templates and manage contractual data
- Assist in the preparation and follow-up of Supplier Improvement Plans in the event of poor supplier performance.
- Conduct research on potential suppliers and assess their capabilities, pricing, and reputation. Assist in supplier performance evaluations.
- Proactively support purchasing initiatives such as forecasting market trends and tracking Cost Savings Plans and Supply Chain Resilience Projects
- Maintaining and creating supplier master data in the system and clarifying open invoices regarding price variances.
- Act as a point of contact for our suppliers and internal partners such as the planning and logistics team, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive internal and external relationships
Your Profile:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in economics or in a technical field (e.g., industrial engineering, mechanical, electrical or process engineering)
- An Excellent Technical aptitude, professional experience in purchasing or have corresponding experience in a support or specialist function in the supply chain
- Strong organizational skills, experience in project management combined with teamwork, willingness to learn and commitment
- Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
- Structured and systematic approach and are eager to question and continuously improve existing processes
- Fluent in German and English, further language skills are a plus
- Very good MS-Office skills with an advanced level in Excel
